She was a Chinese prostitute who married a pirate and took over his fleet when he died. He was a WW2 Commando who served with distinction in a number of theaters, his exploits earned him the Military Cross. He was known as ‘Mad Jack’ by his men and his fellow officers for his ferociousness in combat. Unlike his more conventional peers his weapons of choice were not the traditional British fire arms of the period, instead he chose to rush in to combat with a fucking long bow, a fucking sword and his trusty bag pipes. In 1943 him and a corporal infiltrated a German held town in Sicily capturing 42 men and a mortar position. With only his bagpipes, sword and bow. He was also a very wise monarch. He was friends with Voltaire and passed reforms that helped out the serfs and Jews.

I suspect he was a terminator sent back to save some historically important grandfathers.
Second longest serving Senators in US History (representing Hawaii since it gained statehood in 1959) and a WWII vet with this remarkable story to tell: “On April 21, 1945, Inouye was grievously wounded while leading an assault on a heavily-defended ridge near San Terenzo in Tuscany, Italy, called Colle Musatello. The ridge served as a strongpoint along the strip of German fortifications known as the Gothic Line, which represented the last and most unyielding line of German defensive works in Italy. As he led his platoon in a flanking maneuver, three German machine guns opened fire from covered positions just 40 yards away, pinning his men to the ground. Inouye stood up to attack and was shot in the stomach; ignoring his wound, he proceeded to attack and destroy the first machine gun nest with hand grenades and fire from his Thompson submachine gun. After being informed of the severity of his wound by his platoon sergeant, he refused treatment and rallied his men for an attack on the second machine gun position, which he also successfully destroyed before collapsing from blood loss. As his squad distracted the third machine gunner, Inouye crawled toward the final bunker, eventually drawing within 10 yards. As he raised himself up and cocked his arm to throw his last grenade into the fighting position, a German inside the bunker fired a rifle grenade that struck him on the right elbow, severing most of his arm and leaving his own primed grenade reflexively “clenched in a fist that suddenly didn’t belong to me anymore.” Inouye’s horrified soldiers moved to his aid, but he shouted for them to keep back out of fear his severed fist would involuntarily relax and drop the grenade. While the German inside the bunker reloaded his rifle, Inouye pried the live grenade from his useless right hand and transferred it to his left. As the German aimed his rifle to finish him off, Inouye tossed the grenade into the bunker and destroyed it. He stumbled to his feet and continued forward, silencing the last German resistance with a one-handed burst from his Thompson before being wounded in the leg and tumbling unconscious to the bottom of the ridge. When he awoke to see the concerned men of his platoon hovering over him, his only comment before being carried away was to gruffly order them to return to their positions, since, as he pointed out, “nobody called off the war!”
He was an American pilot during WWII. At the Battle of the Coral Sea, he shot down two Japanese Zeroes in an SBD Dauntless – a dive bomber – and rammed a third. Upon learning of this, the Navy transferred him to a fighter wing flying F4F Wildcats. Later, at the Battle of Santa Cruz, he became an “ace in a day”, shooting down seven Japanese planes in a single sortie. At least one of these kills was accomplished after running out of ammunition; he charged an enemy plane (which was also out of ammunition) head-on at low altitude and forced it to crash. He survived the war, as well.
16th Irish noblewoman, when she was a child her father (the chieftain of the Uí Mháille clan) refused to take her to sea and she cut off all her hair to embarrass him into taking her (her nickname means Bald Grainne). She was born at a time when the Tudor conquest of Ireland was picking up the pace. Throughout her life she was a pirate, she was leader of fighters, under her leadership castles and forts were taken and withstood sieges, she was a revolutionary and war-leader and when Elizabeth I captured her sons and brother, she came to the royal court and negotiated their release in Latin, as she spoke no English and Elizabeth spoke no Irish. Her life would seriously fill about ten books.
Audie Murphy, aka real life Captain America. He was 16 in 1942, weighing 110 pounds and standing 5’5″. He applied to both the Marines and Air Force, but was turned down by both, and eventually managed to get into the Army, where he passed out halfway through training but insisted on going to fight. He contracted malaria in Italy, but was still sent into France in 1944, where he found a German machine gun crew who pretended to surrender, then shot his best friend. Murphy flipped shit, killed everyone in the gun nest, then used their weaponry to kill every Nazi in a 100-yard radius. 6 months later, his company (down to 19 men out of the original 128) was tasked with defending a critical region in France. The Nazis showed up with a ton of guys, so Murphy and his men sent out their M-10’s, which didn’t do much. They were about to be overrun when the skinny short kid with malaria ran to one of the burning M-10’s, grabbed the machine gun, and started mowing down every enemy he could see. He kept going for an hour, until he ran out of bullets, then walked back to his men as the tank exploded behind him.
For starters, he was part of the D-Day invasion. That very day, he killed a squad of German soldiers and captured a half-track that was loaded with intelligence information. Quite a while later, he ran into 4 SS soldiers and killed all of them. However, one hit him with a phosphorous grenade, blinding him in one eye. He refused discharge, saying that as long as he could see through the scope, he had enough eyes. During the Battle of the Scheldt, Major single-handedly captured 93 German soldiers and was offered a Distinguished Conduct Medal. He refused, saying that the man awarding it, General Bernard Montgomery, was an incompetent, so any award from him was worthless. In the beginning of 1945, he was in a vehicle that struck a landmine. He broke both ankles, 4 ribs, and fractured 3 vertebrae. He still continued, refusing evacuation. In April of that year, his unit came upon the Dutch city of Zwolle. His commander asked for two volunteers for a reconnaissance mission. Major and his friend Willie volunteered. They were expected to go see how many German soldiers were in the town. Shortly into their mission, Willie was killed, and the plan changed. Major was out for blood. He went down the street guns blazing and throwing grenades while yelling in French to convince the Germans that the Canadians had sent their whole force into the town. He captured nearly one hundred German troops who went fleeing from their cover. Later that night, he came upon the Gestapo HQ and burned it to the ground. He barged into the SS HQ later that same night, killed 4, and ran the other 4 out of town. At 4:30 a. m. He discovered that the city belonged to the Dutch again, and the Germans had been run out. He received a Distinguished Conduct Medal for single-handedly liberating the town of Zwolle. But he still wasn’t done. In the Korean War, he was asked to lead a strike team of elite snipers to support an American division. He and his twenty men took the hill single-handedly and held it while nearly 20,000 Chinese soldiers attacked their position. He was ordered to retreat. Instead, he held the hill for three days until reinforcements arrived. For this action, he received a bar to his DCM.
While the story is probably embellished some, it’s still amazing. While on a fur trapping expedition, he was mauled by a grizzly bear, which he killed with some help, then passed out. Later, he woke up to find his party abandoned him and he had no equipment. So he cleaned his multiple wounds, used the bear’s skin as a bandage, and spent the next six weeks making it back to civilization. Along the way he fought off wolves, made his own raft to travel down a river, and with the help of natives sewed the bear skin in place to replace his own.
Witold Pilecki was a Polish soldier and resistance member who volunteered to get imprisoned in the Auschwitz concentration camp in order to gather intelligence and escape. While in the camp, Pilecki organized a resistance movement and as early as 1941, informed the Western Allies of Nazi Germany’s Auschwitz atrocities. He escaped from the camp in 1943 after nearly 3 years of imprisonment.
To elaborate, he was a tiny guy that ran track for the US Olympic team in Germany. He got cleated up so bad by the other runners he was bleeding all over the place and he busted it down the final stretch, didn’t win but the crowd was going nuts for the guy so much so that hitler asked to shake his hand after the race. Plane gets shot down in ww2, survives longer a drift than anyone has ever survived while fighting off sharks. Washes ashore a Japanese prison camp, much badassery ensues here. Gets tortured for a couple years and after he’s released, this cat returns to japan to tell his torturer that he forgives him, the coward won’t meet him. This guy even died on the Fourth of July. Oh and some say he was actually the first to run a mile in under four minutes, in the sand.
If Commanding General of the American Expeditionary Forces in WWI, John J. Pershing was alive today, he would probably say the following on how to deal with suicide bombers and deter Islamic terrorists: further action can be taken once they blow themselves up; there is an effective substance that can deter these bombers. Its pork, and it will deny any Muslim extremist what they seek after death. During the Philippine Wars 1899-1913, we fought another Islamic terrorist group called the Moro’s, which were decisively quelled by John J. Pershing. One tactic he employed is said to have happened in 1911, when Pershing was serving as commander of a garrison. Following numerous Islamic terrorist attacks, Pershing captured fifty of the Moro’s, and used their religion against them. Forced to dig their own graves, the terrorists were all tied to posts, for execution by firing squad. American soldiers then brought in pigs, slaughtered them, and then coated their bullets with the blood and fat from the pigs. Pershing turned the tables, and terrorized these terrorists; he ensured they saw that once struck by the firing squad’s bullets, they would be contaminated with the pig’s blood. Even worse, their bodies would be dumped in a grave with a pig carcass, meaning that they could not enter Heaven, even if they were engaged in a Jihad. Pershing followed through with the operation. Forty-nine Moro’s were shot, their bodies dumped into the graves, and the dead pig carcasses and entrails poured all over them. The Fiftieth Moro was spared, and allowed to return to his camp, to spread the word to his fellow Jihadists what happened to the others. He must have made it clear what fate awaits any Jihadists caught by the Americans from that point forward, as it brought an end to terrorism in the Philippines for the next 50 years.
King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, if you've never been there, is a weird little 'burg with a weird (not so little) name. We have a big fucking mall, a shitty casino and a national park that people misconstrue as a battlefield (no fighting ever actually occurred, just rampant starvation). About a twenty minute drive west of Philly, it's the sort of small town that has a quaint shell appearance that disappears rapidly the moment you meet one of its shining citizens. As a local reporter, I get to meet a lot of them actually (and, some might say, unfortunately). For example, if the crack heads and daytime drunks don't scare you away, our resident boogeyman Lucid Larry sure as hell will. A sort of local wandering curiosity, Larry is actually an okay guy if you manage to talk to him. Unfortunately, he's also a 7 foot tall schizo that dresses like Slash every single day (every single day, no matter the weather). He's also known for freaking out at strangers for giving him even the slightest glance. That's sort of the entire area in a nutshell actually. A strange peculiarity with a dash of weirdness that will snap at your hand if you get too close. And believe me, Larry isn't even the half of it. There's also Textbook Timmy, the guy that sits outside of the movie theater all night long in his idling car, right across the street from Lockheed. Most people think he's homeless. Though considering his car seems to be running all the time, I don't know how he affords it. The weird part is if you get close to him, you'll notice that Timmy seems to always be reading what looks like an elementary school textbook (complete with smiling children on the cover). And the really weird part is if you get too close to him, you'll notice the three mannequins, an "adult" in the passenger seat and two "kids" in the back. Then there's the ice cream man whose truck runs throughout the night all summer long (and I mean throughout the night, usually as late as 2 AM). Inevitably, the noise will wake up a baby and a few bored looking cops will show up to write down the complaint. The part that always gets me is two fold: 1.) Absolutely nobody I know has ever even gotten so much as a lick of ice cream from the guy and 2.) whenever the cops show up, after they take down their report, they always say the same thing: "If it comes by again, just don't go near it. No matter what." Every single time. I know a few people that have asked, "Why?" They say the cop always just smiles, tips his hat and wishes them a good night before leaving. And then there's Dave. Or rather, "The Thing That Called Itself Dave" as I've been told most of the local kids have come to know him following The Incident. Where to even begin? For starters, nobody knew his age. He looked in the realm of his mid to late 30's. But every so often, a few folks would tell me that he'd make passing references to taking a date to see the original Star Wars or how much Vietnam messed him up. He had a high pitched voice that I swear (on particularly boisterous evenings) you could hear for miles. You could usually catch him getting drunk with some prostitute at any of the local eateries (all of them gaudy, nearly empty franchises like T.G.I. Friday's or Chili's... no homegrown eats for us). Nobody knew where Dave came from originally, but his wiry hair and pitch black eyes would always catch the attention of anybody wandering by. He had a habit of latching onto visiting strangers and turning into their best fiend within hours. He used to be a regular at the Chili's across from the Motel 6 and would approach any poor soul unlucky enough to be there alone. Once the money was gone, Dave would typically get a little forward (didn't matter if they were men or women, young or old). He'd sometimes beg them to let him hang out in their hotel room until the morning. More than one bartender told me he'd typically get kicked out once this maudlin routine (usually) failed. But those that would leave with him? Well, that was the bizarre part. After The Incident, I went around inquiring about these visiting friends of Dave at the local hotels. The receptionists and bell hops would always tell me the same thing: Dave and the stranger would stumble into the lobby (usually quite drunkenly) and head for the stranger's room. But in the morning, only the stranger would leave, never to be seen again. As for Dave? Who knows how he was getting out of these places, but the following night you were sure as hell to find him wetting the ol' whistle and beginning the entire friendship cycle over again. All sorts of local urban legends began to pop up about Dave. The simple ones were that he was just homeless. Other more exotic ones spoke of Dave working at Lockheed as a test subject. One frequent park camper told me that she saw him once deep in the Valley Forge woods in the middle of the night. She said he spoke to five figures that had the exact same silhouette as Dave himself. "Like exactly the same?" I asked. "Like... doppelgängers?" "Like clones," she answered back solemnly. When I pressed her for more details, she only told me that she got so spooked, she abandoned her trip, leaving behind all of her equipment and clothes in the process. As she got into her car that night to leave, she witnessed strange lights shining in the sky over the spot she had seen Dave conversing with the figures. "The next day, I went to Friday's for dinner with my family," she said in a low, cautious whisper. "He was at the bar and nodded once in my direction. "He was wearing some of the clothes that I had left behind." But probably the downright weirdest story about Dave concerns the night he disappeared. The Incident, so to speak. Over a year ago, right around Valentine's Day, one of Dave's regular prostitutes appeared at the police station in the early hours of the morning. I was told she was bleeding and scared to death. When the bored cops pressed her for details, she claimed she bit Dave in self defense when he started to "get too weird" in the backseat of her car at Valley Forge Park. She took off running when he began to "bleed oil and laugh like a fuckin' loon." "Bleed oil?" I would later ask. "You're sure of this? Maybe it was just dark inside the car." "Oil," she repeated without batting an eye. "I could smell the shit from a mile away." Dave, now completely naked, chased her through the snow covered park, intermittently "running on all four's. I saw him do that at least twice, right beside me as he laughed." He followed her damn near the entire way towards the police station, abruptly banking left down the empty street and disappearing into the cold night once she made it into the building itself. The following morning, the authorities would track down the poor woman's car. There were no traces of oil, but the thing was completely trashed from bumper to bumper. Nobody has spoken to Dave since that night, nearly 18 months ago. But there have been sightings since then. Some of them just recently actually. Teenagers trying to get lucky in the woods are saying there's a cackling beast that roams the park. A hunter told me that he saw him in broad daylight just this past Fall, completely nude and barking like a dog while periodically laughing at a herd of deer. "What did you do?" I asked. "Shot him," the hunter answered matter of factly. "Hit him too, right in the shoulder. "I hated that guy," he finished without even a hint of a smile. "Did... did you see anything like oil come out of the wound?" I had asked somewhat sheepishly. "No," he said. "But I swear, there were sparks before he took off." So where could Dave be? I'm not entirely sure. But as I sit here, dear reader, in the dark just outside of my tent in the heart of Valley Forge Park, I can't help but notice every moving figure in the shadows that engulf my campsite. Or the lack of nature sounds in the typically bustling woods. Or the queer lights that periodically flicker in the sky above. Or the fact that every few minutes, I can hear someone... or something laughing with a high pitched cackle that sounds all too familiar in the deep, dark distance.

"There is something in Berlin that is wonderful and I want to go back there. I want to breathe that air again”. This is the testimony of the American Janey Benson, who may be associated with the recent past of the Tartar Arian (Tartary) civilization, inherited from the legendary Atlanteans (Titans). In this civilization, architecture had the function of extracting properties of waves and resonances from the electromagnetic field, to harmonize, heal, prolong life and increase the stature of men, plants and animals. III Victory Column The Berlin zoo visited by Janey gathers the most expressive collection of animal and vegetable species from around the world. There are 1,380 species, 20,200 animals and an Aquarium, surrounded by 35 hectares of vegetation. The Zoo is within the Tiergarten park, situated opposite the Reichstag dome and has in its center the Victory Column, in granite studded with bronze ornaments. Large domes, towers and columns are always associated with ether energy production. This is the top of the coil inside the Reichstag dome, protected by mirrors. The tip of the coil seems to have been made with the purest copper and is in the hall below the mirrored part. Its shape copy the top of the old power plants of the East. But this is little to explain the happiness that reigns in the park and throughout the city. There is a more powerful reason. Berlin was one of the gigantic Star Fortress of the ancient and highly technological civilization of Tartary. This 1688 engraving shows that Berlin was a huge and mighty Star Fortress. This kind of fortress was not built by normal men. It would require thousands of highly skilled men. And there were such strongholds all over the earth. In addition, the fortress "communicated" with each other to create the worldwide energy grid. When the invaders who came from Terra Incognita destroyed the perfect electromagnetic grid and created cataclysms, the civilization of Tartary was annihilated and its defensive structures wrecked or were melted and petrified. Star Fortress provided security, health and harmony for its inhabitants. It is possible that some of the old magic is still present in the atmosphere of Berlin as in these postcards of 1896 and 1899 ? At the Berlin zoo, visitors and animals are also given the benefit of the magic sound of the bells. In the park there is a rare carillon installed at 42 meters high which houses 68 bells of 48 tons and is the fourth in the world in number of bells. Concerts in the park with the historic carillon take place every Sunday at 3 p.m., from May to September. The vibration of bronze, associated with the ethereal electromagnetic current, has a high harmonizing and healing power. IV Hohenzollern The carillon history dates back to the first kings of Prussia, Frederick I and II, of the Hohenzollern dynasty. Wikipedia claims that the German zoo was "opened" in 1844 but on this date Germany did not exist and much less had central government. There was only one confederation with 22 small monarchies and 17 other states that spoke German. The Tiergarten park and its palace belonged to the Tartary civilization. With the defeat of Tartary and the creation of Germany, the palace was demolished and the Reichstag was erected by the will of the character "Bismarck". It is likely that Tartaria has designated Berlin Tiergarten to save almost extinct species, in a world that slowly came out of total chaos and sudden climate change. Janey Benson's observation of the numbered trees in Berlin Tiergarten park fits into this hypothesis. Tiergarten may have been a magnificent Noah's Ark endowed with atmospheric energy, where all species were classified to be saved. Star City Games $20,000 Legacy Open "Philadelphia" Jan 10-11, 2015 - Oaks, PA - Event Information guide from a Local
The main objective of this post is to make sure people are aware that the SCG Event this weekend which is marketed as "Philadelphia," actually takes place in OAKS, PA - a suburb in the greater Philadelphia area. To give some perspective, it is about 40 minutes northwest from the convention center in downtown Center City Philadelphia. Venue: Greater Pennsylvania Convention Center (GPCC) 100 Station Avenue, Oaks, PA 19456 [Google Maps Link] Players, please take notice!!!! The event is in OAKS, PA - an outer suburb northwest of Philadelphia. The major highway that most players will take is Route 422. My take on the venue is that it is an older venue but very very large. They have actually held multiple huge events there simultaneously. Bathrooms should not be an issue. Unfortunately, there are no other businesses nearby or what I'd consider walking distance. The convention complex is sort of isolated, and connected by roads to some other shopping complexes. I will touch on the food situation in separate section. If you’re flying in from Philadelphia International Airport, I recommend renting a car to get around. I really don’t think taking a cab is economical and the venue is not really public transportation accessible. Parking: Ample + FREE!!! The GPCC is massive and so the parking area. There is plenty of free parking. Hotels/Lodging: There are a lot of moderately priced places to stay. Definitely more reasonable than trying to find something downtown. Should be easy enough to find, but here are my picks, sorted from cheapest to most expensive from the time of this post:

Food Options: The food & eats situation is where moving the open venue from downtown Philadelphia to Oaks really stings the most. The Reading Terminal Market and nearby Chinatown are staple attractions of the Philadelphia gaming experience. I will miss getting a Pastrami Special from Herschel's and being finished eating it before the next round of Legacy starts. On the brighter side, there are plenty of affordable food options within a short driving distance and lots of suitable places to gather for that end-of-day meal with friends. Unfortunately(and similar to GP New Jersey 2014), there are no places that are in "convenient" walking distance. However, if you have a car all of these places are relatively close and easy to get to.
